Meet Derrick Rogan

Founder • Speaker • Strategic Connector

I launched The Rogan Room with a simple goal: to bridge the gap between college and career. I set out to build more inclusive, intentional pathways for students and early talent to thrive.

My journey began in higher education, where I mentored and coached students through leadership development, academic success, and professional growth. Over time, this evolved into a deeper calling: helping people and organizations bring bold ideas to life. With over a decade of experience across university relations, corporate recruiting, and business strategy, I’ve facilitated growth on both sides of the equation, guiding students toward confidence and clarity, and helping employers design programs that retain and inspire.

I’ve had the opportunity of leading early talent and recruitment efforts at various companies, from smaller companies with less than 10 employees to global companies like KPMG. After these experiences and instances of supporting career readiness initiatives in higher ed and various corporate industries, I became a Certified Business Coach and positioned myself as an expert on purpose, preparation, and equity in the workplace.

Today, The Rogan Room offers workshops, speaking engagements, and consulting for universities and employers looking to better support the next generation of talent. Whether I’m on campus or in a boardroom, I show up to create connection, empower change, and move people from potential to action.
